Room for Everyone

Don’t you just love to have the entire family together for a meal? No matter the size of the table, we can always make room for one more. Even if we have to share seats, bump elbows or mix match chairs, we make the room.

Have you ever thought about the people that witnessed the crucifixion? There was the centurion (Matthew 27:54), followers and scoffers, passersby and gawkers. Luke 23:49 said “all acquaintances “ were part of the crowd. I bet they were all bumping elbows there. The beauty of Jesus’ sacrifice, the beauty of the Cross, is that it is for everyone.

The woman at the well is just as welcome as the mother of Jesus. There is room for those who came to mock and left believing. The Cross was for one and all, and it still is today. There is room for the person that grew up in church, and the ones who have never stepped inside a church. It doesn’t matter what you may have done because the blood of Christ covers it all. There is room at the Cross for even you.
